Very rare and large scale model Ford 1930’s.

Made in Belgium Congo circa 1950 from bovine bone or commonly referred to as Ox-bone. The Belgian Congo was a Belgian colony in Central Africa between 1908 and 1960 in what is now the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Intricately pierced, carved and engraved and in really quite exceptional condition. This must have been kept in a humidity controlled cabinet for many years as there is no dryness or stress cracks that I can see.

This is a most impressive and rare piece made for an important and wealthy patron. Some nooks and crannies have an accumulation of dust and dirt that can be cleaned by the new owner or a professional. As stated in our policies we only surface clean for photographic purposes. The quality and finish of the material used is excellent, so is the condition and also the construction. Doors open, wheels turn and all the bone panels, lights bumpers and grills are accounted for and in top condition. Truly a unique and one of a kind piece.
