Listed here is an Egyptian collector’s dream. We acquired this unusual item from a private collection and its provenance is from Alexandria, Egypt.
 
The boat made from a beautiful multihued hardstone measures 30.00 cm in length and has hieroglyphs carved on the deck and very beautiful detailed carvings throughout. It has a removable Pharaoh (mummy) lid, with a hidden small chamber under the lid that you can use as a small storage. Funeral Boats or barges, would have carried The Deceased on their final journey on the Nile, to their tomb.
 
These boats were also placed in the tombs of the deceased as a way of crossing the River Nile into the afterlife. Only the “upper-crust” ancient Egyptian could afford such an elaborate piece of workmanship Obviously inspired by the Egyptian Pharaoh Period, this museum quality replica of a carved hardstone wood Funerary Barge is certainly in a class by itself.
