A little history: Hongshan culture about 4000-3000 BC Jade carving cicadas have experienced the process of cicadas as gods, cicadas as gifts, cicadas as play pieces, and cicadas as ornaments. Jade cicadas are divided into two kinds in Chinese jade culture: as jade carving ornaments, the jade carving cicadas of previous generations are basically uninterrupted, and the tombs of each generation has had ornaments of Jade cicadas unearthed; as "cicadas" burial products, jade cicadas are generally buried in the mouth. The "cicada" first appeared in the tombs of the early Western Zhou Dynasty (found at No. 816 Zhongzhou Road, Luoyang, Henan Province) in archaeological excavations, and there was almost no discovery of cicadas in the mouth, until the Prevalence of Jade burials in the Han Dynasty, and the mouth cicada became a common burial custom, and continued until the Wei and Jin Dynasties. The cicada is an artifact, and the representative work of the Hongshan culture period.
