This wide, hefty bracelet is set with a very large center oval stone of deep blue natural Afghani lapis lazuli. This center oval has small flecks of iron pyrite throughout the stone and, in the sun, this adds sparkle to the rich blue coloration.

Flanking the center stone are two ovals of perfectly matched lapis which combine with a rich array of small appliqués to decorate the cuff while enhancing its sparkle and texture. These appliqués include dotted buttons, raindrops, and individually cut-out, domed pieces in the form of the stone forming a nice cradle around them.

This is extremely finely detailed work which can easily be compared with the fine work of Darry Becenti and others. This bracelet also has sculpted, scalloped edges. Total inside circumference (including gap): 7.00 " A stunning antique Afghani brooch set with blue lapis lazuli stones set in a magnificent filigree work that curls and overlaps into a beautiful design. It hangs on a linked chain that is included with purchase.

It measures a large 2.75 inches wide by 1.50 inches with a O-ring. It is stamped with the number 925 for Sterling Silver. These two pieces were most likely worn by possibly Turkmen, from Northern Afghanistan in the late 1800’s to early 1900’s

They are stunning pieces of work obviously made by a very skilled artisan.
